SHE is just five-years-old but little Avah McGinty from Martinstown has been through more in her short life than most adults.
The Gracehill Primary School pupil has spina bifida and hydrocephalus - a birth defect where there is incomplete closing of the backbone and a condition in which there is an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the brain.
A Facebook page, set up by Avah's parents Darren and Emma, have been documenting the little girl's journey and has garnered interest from all over the world.
To date the page has almost 9,000 likes and counting.
In August last year, Avah's father Darren posted a video as the brave youngster walked down the aisle on her mum and dad's big day in Galgorm Manor.
The video went viral accumulating around 2 million views.
Thousands of strangers had their heartstrings tugged and have been contacting the family through Facebook to say how "moved" they were by the footage.
Avah's parents were delighted when - aided by her walker - Avah took to the aisle at their wedding ceremony.
Darren said: "It was lovely. We never put Avah under too much pressure.
"Our friends bought her bars and in the house she had been managing about three metres at a time.
"She had never tried in front of other people.
"We knew the time was right and on the day she did the best walking she has probably ever done. She stole the show. It was a real family occasion."
Darren was stunned by the huge response to the video after he shared it on Facebook.
