COMMUNITIES Minister, Paul Givan visited Ahoghill last week to discuss regeneration issues.
North Antrim DUP MLA, Phillip Logan, has been working alongside his ministerial party colleague to facilitate a scheme that will benefit local retailers and residents.
Mr Logan arranged a meeting between Minister Givan, Mid and East Antrim chief executive, Anne Donaghy, the local Britain in Bloom team and local retailers to discuss the need for investment in the village.
The minister congratulated village again on its achievements and said "he is fully aware of the benefits that this scheme would bring to Ahoghill.
“Phillip will work alongside me and the Department of Communities to ensure that we keep delivering for this area, whether through a tailor-made scheme or other means."
Mr Logan has said: "While the village has out preformed many villages across Northern Ireland for its aesthetics, this meeting was about the next level ensuring the village can be more economically active.
“This village was where I grew up and I have always had the desire to see it flourish and I feel that we can do that in conjunction with the Department of Communities."
