A YOUNG Cullybackey family is preparing for their first Christmas without their mum, but are sure her spiritual guiding love will be with them every step of the way.
Laura Lennox was just 36 when she passed away on September 24 from cancer.
She was mother to four beautiful children Caileb (14), Noah (10), Brooke (8) and Jesse (19 months) and devoted wife of Alastair (Ally).
After first being diagnosed with breast cancer aged 34, while pregnant with youngest son, Jesse, she learned in January this year that the disease had returned and spread to her lungs.
Following a terminal diagnosis, Laura set about "preparing to die", making memory boxes for her children and planning her funeral.
Ally now faces the future as a single parent but is determined to guide his children through their lives by the shining example set by his wife.
Poignantly Laura also made preparations before her death for Christmas and even left Ally a list of instructions to help him plan the perfect Christmas for their children.
Speaking to the Guardian, Ally said: "The past three months have been incredibly difficult but I have to keep positive for the children.
