150 jobs secured thumbnailIan Paisley MP for North Antrim, Minister of State for Employment Damian Hinds MP and Communities Minister Paul Givan in London where Mr. Givan announced that his Department has secured a 8million contract from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)

A NEW 8 million contract from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) will provide 170 jobs in the Province - 150 of them in Ballymena!
Communities Minister Paul Givan announced on Monday that his Department had secured the contract to deliver services to claimants in Great Britain.
MP for North Antrim, Ian Paisley, has welcomed the announcement.
"I am delighted by this commitment to extend public service jobs to Ballymena, securing 150 new positions in my constituency," he said.
“As MP I have been asking Government to think North Antrim when it comes to job creation and this is a tangible example of the practical outworking of that call."
Mr. Paisley said Ballymena currently has 80 jobs in this area - but that contract was to cease next year.
“This new contract secures those 80 and an additional 70 for the next five years. This is really positive news," said Mr. Paisley, who was full of praise for the input of Communities Minister, Mr. Givan.
Of the 170 jobs the Ballymena office will get 150 of them and the remaining 20 will go to Lisahally Service Centre, which already provides services to DWP.
