POLICE have seized two firearms and a quantity of herbal cannabis, with an estimated street value of £5,500, in Ballymena.
The drugs, together with an air rifle and a handgun, were discovered during a search which took place at a row of unoccupied houses at Victoria Park in the Dunclug area of the town on Thursday night and Friday, January 22.
Police inquiries into the find are continuing and anyone who has any information regarding the incident is asked to call 0845 600 8000 or

Alternatively information about crime can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111.
Meanwhile, police are urging people in the Ballymena area to "shun any encouragements to take illegal drugs".
They would also advise members of the public of the dangers of taking illegal substances or drugs that are not prescribed by a doctor.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "In general all illegal drugs are inherently dangerous, and are produced with little or no quality control or any regard for public health and safety.
“This is why people should refrain from taking illegal drugs and why people should come forward and provide police with information regarding the sale, supply and misuse of illegal drugs."
Police in Ballymena are urging anyone who has information regarding the "pernicious drugs trade" to contact them, via the above numbers, so the matter can be fully investigated.
